List three influences of the dysfunctional environment Lucy grew up in. How might these have affected Lucy as an adult?

Following are the three influences of the dysfunctional environment that impacted Lucy:

Inability to form close relationships.

Suffers from depression and anxiety.

Lacks the ability to decide and handle important situations in her life.

All the above mentioned aspects have impacted Lucy adversely and have caused problems for her as she cannot work properly and is unable to give proper time to her work. As a result, she has been issues warning due to her negligence. She consumes alcohol heavily which has caused problems for her and her health has also been affected due to this. As an adult, Lucy has faced a number of problems related to her personal, as well her professional life. Now, she is also having problems with her only close friend, Jacquie.

How might the sibling birth order have affected the eldest and the youngest children and how they respond to Lucy, even though they had similar modeling and reinforcement from their parents as children?

Elder children are the ones who usually take care of the youngest. They are the ones who have to make sure that they take care of the needs of the younger siblings and provide them with all the things they need. Lucy was the second child and had an elder brother and a younger sister. She was impacted because her brother did not take care of her, but protected the youngest sister completely. This impacted Lucy and her life because there was no one who took care of her and there was no one who could protect her.

Suppose that Lucy's broad goals for counseling are to stop abusing alcohol and stop repeating the pattern of abusive relationships. Outline a program of change for Lucy.
