Introduction

The main purpose of this paper this paper is to conduct the analysis of the case mentioned in the study and also provide the description of various case studies in relation to the entrapment defense. The criminal laws of most countries contain provisions combat as the spread of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogues based on federal law. For example, the legislation on narcotic drugs current version extends the existing formulations of criminal acts, but also enhances the punishment for serious crimes related to drugs (Bagley, 2013). Punishment for organized crime associated with the illegal drug trade is even more enhanced.

Hampton Case

Facts: The fact is that Hampton has made every possible effort to get an appeal for his case. As per the arguments of the defendant, it is mainly the case that the authorities have entrapped him.

Issues: In this case, Hampton has asked the authorities if they have any possession of drugs to be sold to him. As per the arguments of the defendant, the authorities have entrapped him and there is no evidence through which this theory could be proven.

Rule: As per the Supreme Court, it is on the discretion of Supreme Court to consider it as the entrapment.

Analysis: In the case of Hampton, it has been considered that the defendant is a completely addict of the drugs. If it was not authorities selling him the drugs, then he would have taken it from some other sources.

Jacobson Case

Facts: In this case, the defendant named Jacobs have been found guilty of the child pornography. However, there was some involvement of the speculations from the authority, which the authority has received from the defendant's mail which was published in absence of the court order.

Issue: The defendant of the case named Jacobs have been found guilty of the act of indulging in child pornography. As per the Child Protection Act of 1984 this is considered to be the violation of the act.

Rule: The Justice of highcourt has made the final decision of the ruling in favor of the lower class.

Case Summary

Title: Entrapment Undercover Case

Facts: The case is about the scenario in which the undercover working is going on for the drug activity. The officer come across with a man in vehicle and asks him for the $20 drug. The man on the drug provides the undercover officer with the drug and the officer catches him for possessing the drug and getting involved in drug business.

Issues: The issue in the case was that the drug dealer has claimed that he was a victim of the entrapment; therefore, he needs to be released.

Decisions: The court has taken the decision that it is not allowed to be involved in the business of drugs and to possess the drugs; therefore, the court has given him the punishment to stay in jail for 5 years.
