Abstract

Laws have been applied throughout the world to regulate the actions of people across the world. Their enforcement is ensured by placing penalty for those who do actions against what is defined by the law. There are mainly two types of law, first one being the criminal law and the second type being the civil law. This paper has been prepared to focus on the first form of law which is based to ensure that the people do not commit crime. In criminal, the people who have committed an offense are punished according to the level of crime they committed. This punishment is based on determining whether the offense is a felony or a misdemeanor. This law is for people who are above the age of 18. The law that is focused on the children and adolescents is the juvenile law which was formed to assist and guide the young people towards rehabilitation in the society again. The main idea behind this separate law system for adolescents is that these people lack the responsibility and need guidance to stop committing any unlawful action. The court procedures play a very important role in determining whether the evidence that is gathered from the crime scene during investigation is of high quantum.
