The paper pertains to the development of the situations where psychological intervention is necessary for the treatment of a patient. The paper focuses the cases, where psychological intervention in women takes place, and therefore, the necessity of taking an approach to sort out the matter through psychological intervention.

The term crisis intervention is defined as “an emergency psychological care aimed at assisting individuals in a crisis situation to restore equilibrium to their bio-psychosocial functioning and to minimize the potential for the development of a psychological trauma”. The whole purpose of crisis intervention is to spare the individual from falling into the psychological diseases or disorders due to the experimentation of an event that is intolerable for her.

Crisis intervention in female

The stressful life of today has led every individual into psychological problems, one way or the other. The female gender has been created with a psychological makeup in such a way, that they usually respond in a more profound and deeper sense to the things happening around them as compared to the masculine gender. As a result to this, they are far more vulnerable to the development of psychological disorders and traumas by the things happen to them.

It is largely supported by the research that crisis intervention takes place, at least, tri-fold times more in the female gender than the masculine gender. This is because the male gender have more capacity to absorb things and build rationally around them, whereas, female gender is more tied up to things in the emotional sense, they are unable to look forth after a particular point, and therefore, this explains the reason of frequency of psychological intervention in women than the male gender.

Female gender has greater sensitivities to all that happens around them, and therefore, they have a lesser capacity to rationalize things without reasons. As a result, they get themselves easily involved into the mechanics of the happenings, as well as, the after effects leading to a serious traumatic disorder.
