Introduction

Abortion is considered as one of the most controversial topics of every era. It is because of the reason that, various medical, social, political as well as ethical issues are linked with it. In order to deal with this controversial issue large number of policies has been presented, in order to ensure the integrity of women's health. The proceeding paper incorporates the critical analysis of the U.S. abortion policies, presented by different governments of the United States.

Abortion is one of the most arguable topics of U.S. It is due to the reason that, large number of ethical, moral and medical concerns are associated with it. Studies and researches demonstrate that, the U.S. government had implemented various laws regarding abortion, while considering all the ethical and social issues (Martin, 2013). According to those laws, abortion is one of the most unethical activities which may lead the human life towards severe consequences. According to some theories and laws, abortion is considered as the murder a human life. On the other hand, in the year 1976, Colorado presented his theory regarding abortion practices. In his theory, he legalized and permitted abortion under particular situations (Pollak, 2013). According to the theory of Colorado, the abortion can be performed in case of rape. It is because of the reason that, according to his views, it is socially unacceptable to have an illegal baby. In addition to this, he legalized abortion in the poor health conditions of women (Minkenberg, 2002). Afterwards, in the year 1972, another law was approved which was just similar to the policy of Colorado, that allow abortion in certain situations.
