Introduction

Kennedy doctrine

Doctrine formulate by president Kennedy was the foreign policy proposal of the 35th US president. President of USA was concerned towards states of Latin America throughout the tenure of his presidential (Bowen, 2001). Kennedy uttered his complete support for the suppression of communism issues and resolving the overall communist progress in the region of Western Hemisphere. During his introductory address on 20 January 1961, the president disclosed his public with his forward planning regarding the initiatives taken in the foreign policy.

Moreover, the president in his passionate speech described that “Every state must be clearly informed that, irrespective of their consent we are willing to pay any price for the restoration of liberty”. The doctrine presented by the president Kennedy was the formulation of countries foreign policy that was presented by the previous government. Foreign policies of previous presidents were primarily based on the hazard of communism, and efforts that would be taken by US to contain these issues from spreading (Hanson & Lee, 2013).



US relationship with Cuba during World war

Relationship between Cuba and United states marked the phenomenal accomplishment of 52nd year of worst relationship in the history of world. Several factors have played their part in strangled relationship of two countries for instance; during the period of 19th century when Cuba was still considered as an integral part of Spain, majority of Americans from south aimed occupy the island the part of America, with the primary objective of increasing the power of the country.

America was never in favor of seeing an independent Cuba, and it was clearly visible from the event in year 1890, when Americans interfered during the Spain struggle of overcoming Cuban rebellion by spreading a rumor of Human rights issue in Spain. In addition to these, United States also started intervening during the tactic “scorched earth" launched by Spain against nationalist guerrillas smolder the interest of numerous Americans. During the war between Spain and USA, people of Cuba speculated independence, however, the US rule this state until 1902. Cuba was rewarded independence, after they signed an agreement “Platt Amendment” that linked economy of Cuba with the American economy.
