Current relationship between the U.S. and the Soviet Union

After the events of the year 1980, the United States and Soviet Union both came across the terms with some new accounts. Individuals in United States hoped for a more conservative and more reasonable collapse with Soviet Union, this was replaced by a new excitement to compete the Soviets, for global position and military superiority. The leaders of Soviet Union have discovered the exhilaration as well as the pain that escorts the unexpected and dramatic use of power. Soviets were also reminded of the frequent dilemmas that weigh down any nation that manages an agitated empire.

Current relationship between United States and Soviet Union can now be separated into two historical eras, both of them have ended now. The first era lasted after the World War II, and was characterized by disdainfully. In these years, the United States is the strongest power; however, its superior power has not created a satisfactory relation with the Soviet Union. However, there is a slight change in the policies of United States and Soviet Union. The United States has made this decision to grant at least the representative status of equivalent power to Soviets. Finally, they have realized that this decision is also not satisfactory, so they are going to terminate it (Stoll, 1986).
