Cyber Child Pornography

Abstract

In this world there are various issues that need significant attention. One such issue is of child pornography. Child pornography is a serious issue and should be evaluayted from variegated petrspectives. In this paper, child pornography is evaluated with the increased usage of internet and advancement of technology. In this paper, two hyposthesis are tested. The first hypothesis is accepted which is the emergence of technology has played a vital role in increasing child pornography.

Introduction

The Internet has created an incredible increase in the number of children sexually abused. The children are manipulated to meet adults posing as children, resulting in rape, abduction and even death (Melchiorre).. Many of these victims are prepubescent children who innocently give their phone numbers and addresses to pedophiles, with devastating consequences. All children are vulnerable, and parents should seek advice on intervention measures to better understand the situation and help prevent an epidemic of sexual violence against minors. This act of children getting abused sexually can take place at home (by a single parent, sibling, relative), outside the home (by a friend in the neighbourhood), or even by people like, child care person, teacher, or stranger (Reilly, 2006) .

Problem Statement

Child pornography is a growing concern and is a problem of the international dimension, which amplified by the emergence of new technologies that have transformed the patterns of production and dissemination of such material into physical victimization of the children.

Hypothesis

The purpose and objectives of this study is to test two hypothesis. These two hypothesis are as follows;

H1: The emergence of technology has played a vital role in inceasing the child pornography.

H2: There is enough legislations, rules and regulation related to the protection of child pornography.

This study would reveal whether the emergence of technology has increased the chil pornography or not.

The second objcetive is related to the legislations. rules and regulations about the child pornography. There are a range of questions and opinions in the United States concerning the propriety and acceptability of pornography, based on distinctions such as type of material and age of consumer. Moral outrage toward the involvement of children and young adolescents in the production of sexually explicit materials is the norm, however. By law, children and adolescents below the age of 18 are not permitted any access to pornographic materials in any form, and both the actual distribution and the intended dissemination of such materials to underage consumers are illegal. This research would prove whether there is enough legislation related to this issue or not.

Variables

The variables that would be considered for the research are of four types that are direct variable, indirect, intervening and moderating variables. Direct variable is considered as the pornography which influences the people, indirect variables might be many factors including frustration, stress, or desperation.
