In this study we try to explore the concept of community engagement program in the region of Burngreave, Sheffield. The main focus of the research is on the benefits and impacts of community engagement program in the region of Burngreave, Sheffield. The study follows the primary as well as the secondary research methods for the data collection and data analysis. CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Outline of the Study

This study explains the benefits and social costs of creating programmes that encourage people from minority groups to have an active role in their communities. The main aim of the dissertation is to discuss the impact and challenges one could face when trying to implement a community engagement programme in a multicultural and multiethnic neighbourhood such as Burngreave (Sheffield). The study comprises the following sections:

Chapter 1 is an introductory chapter presenting the background of this study, main goals, research questions, hypothesis and the main definitions.

Chapter 2 is a relevant literature review in the study area, highlighting the previous research carried out in this field.

Chapter 3 presents an overview of research methodology chosen for this study. Research design, the data collection method, samples, sampling method, research instrument, validity, reliability, and the ethical concerns are presented in this chapter.

Chapter 4 presents the analysis of findings and discussion of the detailed study.
