Introduction

Technological development has brought various changes in the lives of people. It is because of the reason that, technological developments have allowed the people to bring efficiency and convenience in their work procedures. Aviation or airline industry is considered as one of the most evolving industries that has significantly allowed the people to transform their way of travelling. Furthermore, the field of aviation has also allowed the businesses and organizations to expand their business or trade on national as well as on international level (Weckman et.al, 2001, p. 52). Therefore, aircrafts or field of aviation has significantly allowed people bring ease and convenience in their travelling practices. History of aviation industry demonstrates that, this industry has seen various developments and advancements. Furthermore, with the passage of time, various innovative and modern techniques and technologies are also incorporated within the aviation. All these technologies and techniques played a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of travelling and trade. In addition to this, these technologies and advancements have also enhanced the demands of air travelling (Bowen & Rodrigue, 2013, p.n.d). The proceeding paper incorporates the brief discussion on the development of aircrafts. Furthermore, some innovative technologies, in the field of aviation, are also discussed in the paper.

History and Developments in Aircraft Industry

In the year 1903, two brothers, who are famous with the name of “Wright Brothers”, did the experiment of flying. The flight of those two brothers is considered as the first powered flight which was done in the machine which was heavier than air. Studies demonstrate that people used to travel in the balloons and gliders, before the first flight of “Wright Brothers”. Furthermore, the first passenger of that flight was Leon Delagrage (Nosotro, 2000, p.n.d). Moreover, the history of aircraft shows that, by the year 1914, aircraft had gained much popularity in people, all around the world. It is because of the reason that, aircrafts played a vital role during World War I and World War II and allowed the pilots to watch out certain trade marks on the ground (Beloba et.al, 2009, p. 13).

According to the views of various researchers, initially developed aircrafts were used in small battles and they were not suitable for wars. Furthermore, some other researchers claim that, the initially developed aircrafts possessed high speeds therefore; they were capable of bringing disasters during wars. Studies also demonstrate that, in the year 1927, Charles Lindberg became the first man to fly solo amid N.C and Paris in the spirit of St Louise. Also it was not just men who were background records but women as well. In 1928, American Amelia Earhart flew individual handed across the Atlantic and in 1930 Amy Johnson carry out the first female solo flight between Britain and Australia (Pearce, 2008, p., 85).

Afterwards, in the year 1930, Frank Whittle, who was a royal Air force pilot, developed the design of first aircraft engine. He did his efforts with full dedication and developed his first ...
