This is because President Barack Obama and the Congress transformed the entire health care system of the United States through the enactment of the Affordable Care Act of 2010. Hence, the study has been undertaken to determine if the new health care system of US needs to be more universal or it has been operating to its full potential. Moreover, the study would also identify the country which has the best universal health care system and for this reason, the universal health care system of Switzerland has been selected. The health care system of Switzerland is found to be consumer driven health care system that has even be adopted in the Obamacare to reform the Medicare, Medicaid, and the employer sponsored health care system in United States. This reveals that the Switzerland has the world's best health care system. The consumer driven system of Switzerland ensures subsidizing the needy and assures that the sick people do not have to pay more money on their health insurance as compared to others. It facilitates the low income individuals with the tax financed and the tested subsidies so that they can easily purchase the mandatory health insurance. The benefits range from the hospital care to the health spas. Hence, it is believed that the Switzerland provides the universal coverage at quite lower cost as compared to the United State without making any compromises in the quality of care, responsiveness, and equity (Roy, 2012). The Swiss health care model is believed to be the best health care system throughout the world which has significantly reduced the mortality rates in the Switzerland while ensuring the improved and consumer centric care. The studies have also indicated that the Swiss people are healthier than Americans and they are ostensibly found to be happy and contended with their health care system and its prominent efficiency.

In short, the paper attempts to differentiate the health care systems of both of the countries and indicates how one is better than the other. Moreover, the study will also evaluate the similarities between the key features of the United States health care model and the Universal Swiss health care model.
