Question 1

The People's Republic of China is a country with enormous cultural wealth. Within Chinese territory, there are more than fifty ethnic groups, each with its own spoken language and their particular customs. Despite that the Mandarin (Putonghua) is the official language, many rural areas continues to speak the local language. Each of the multiple ethnic Chinese contribute to enrich the culture of the country with its traditions, tastes and peculiarities that are a reflection of its diversity.

Some of the most important Chinese traditions are expressed by themselves in their parties, especially in the spring festival that celebrates the entry of the Lunar New Year. Families gather on the eve of the first moon of the first month according to the lunar calendar (which usually coincides with the last days of January or early February of the Gregorian calendar), celebrating its arrival with dances, posters, decoration and traditional food.

Buddhism has maintained a philosophy that does not acknowledge the free-will problem but embraces universal determinism. There is a lot of importance of religion when conducting business in Japan and South Korea. This can be attributed to the fact that the South Asian philosophers have put a lot of focus on understanding and explaining freedom of the spirit rather than free will. Buddhist philosophy maintains that there is a cause between every effect. Since, humans have no control on the external events; they are only responsible for the effects that result from their own actions. This distinguishes Buddhist teachings from the other theories which maintained that humans too suffer from the affects of accidental karma.
