The view of power is diversified in the Marxists and Elitists theories as the Marxists philosophy was based on the idea of materialistic approach as for changing the societal values. The elite philosophy was based on power as a tool for ruling the society. The lower strata in the society are suffered as compared to the elite class. The elite class utilize their power as to dominate the lower social class people. The socio economic constraints lead towards the fight against the middle and lower class citizens. The financial interest is acquired by Elite theorists so in this regard the Marxists have the power to for their right that is prevailing among the citizens. The historical societies are not at all associated with the elite class citizens. They are unable to rule the democratic society and justice that is ruling the societal issues.

In contrast the Marxists theory deals with the source of power that is depicted by the ownership and the wealth of the individual that is living in the society.
