I have selected Question 3 which is “Human resource management": is this the way forward for managing employee relations at work?. Human Resource Management is an important element of the wider concept - human resource management, although in practice, these two terms are often used interchangeably, as synonyms. This underscores the fact that people are used as workers, are resources that are not less important than the financial or material resources, and to which the same attention and care. Salaried workers will not passively submit to and tolerate manipulation or dictatorship by the management as they increasingly expect and demand more qualified approach to their recruitment and management. Research shows that competent management response to this requirement will benefit the company (Muhammad Ikhlas, 2012).

HRM i.e. Human resource management is a new and advanced approach which manages people within the organization. HRM i.e. human resource management is comprised of development, maintenance, acquisition and motivation of human resources. Moreover, HRM is accountable for maintaining better human relations within the business organization. The human resource department also focuses on individual's development and attaining incorporation of the organization's goals (Blyton et.al, 2004).
