Introduction

The Christian Bible is divided in to two parts: the (Old-Testament) and (New Testament). In the Old-Testament books, there is canonical and non canonical. The Old-Testament in the Christian tradition refers to the New Testament.

Summary

Genesis

This book is a compendium of stories, which has a prologue account of the origins and early history of salvation. It tells the story of the origin of mankind and the beginning of the selection of a people. This book presents God as a loving, merciful God of the opportunity, one God, creator of things good and beautiful. This book also presents humanity, the descendants of Adam and gradually the story focuses on a chosen people, to bless all creation.

Exodus

Exodus is a fundamental book in more ways than one. This book also tells us the call and work of the first Ombudsman (or prophet) of the Bible, namely Moses. This is also where the priesthood as it is practiced until the time of Jesus is defined. It is the same for the role of prophet. In short, this book introduces all the fundamentals that will chair the theology of the Old-Testament and the concept of the Covenant, a notion which, incidentally, is still central to Christian theology. From the standpoint of historical facts, Exodus is also an introduction, as it recounts the founding event of the liberation of the Hebrews, an event that builds and cements the idea of the Hebrew people.

Leviticus

Since the main theme of the book is complete and accurate existence of laws, legal laws that require the total, is presented in Chapter I. An example of punishment imposed on those who violate them, the deaths of the sons of Aaron by God. (8) Chapter XII is provisions on the days of purity and impurity of the woman. Next two chapters discussed at length form of treatment in patients with leprosy and Chapter XV presents the additional scourge of care instructions (probably gonorrhea patients) as well as provisions regarding the period of the woman's cycle.

Joshua

The book of Joshua is clear theology, as a first importance aspect of it; we have God and His revelation. Its existence is assumed. He communicates His will to Joshua, as he did with Moses. Second important theological aspect of the book is Joshua is like the law of Deuteronomy his dear vision and well defined clear cut of history, in the sense that when a people (Israel) is diverted to the paganism, brings their own ruin.
