The United States of America is considered to be a progressive nation which is continuously expanding economically, socially and politically. America is observed to be contributing the progression of the” Land of Opportunity” to forefathers, modern inventions and motivating activities of courtesy from its nation. The history of American frequently shows up victory in the field of battles as well as economical progress. However, the amazing technological advancement has been frequently unseen. It is observed that the technology has permanently changed the track of history and basically revolutionized the humanity .the rapid enhancement in the field of technology has highly contributed in the history of American by abolishing social isolation, helping in martial policies, rising economical income and bringing together all the citizens of America intellectually and physically. The period of 1860s through the 20th century was seemed to be full of political issues, violence, and warfare along with economic concerns civil rights. America still enjoyed the times of success and optimism, despite of all of those critical circumstances., in spite all these socio-cultural /socio-economic concerns including man's cruelty to humanity and post-war wake, the area of America in which growth and progression was observed was the field of technology.

From the time when the Civil War was fought, not only the revenue for Americans has expanded but it has caused the rural population to be connected with the nearby towns.The REA (Rural Electrification Act) passed by President Franklin Roosevelt that contributed to bring electricity to rural areas (Bowles, 2011). The term rural electrification meant that the people who were living in the rural areas far way from large industrial areas were now able to be entertained with the facility of electricity. They could now watch television, listen to the radio, and could enjoy the movies. Electricity appeared as a facilitating element to the closing stage of their isolation (Bowles, 2011). Americans were now able to buy new items, job opportunities were increased for them that ultimately boosted the economy. During 1930s, the REA funded “traveling appliance shows” that permitted trade to recover their finances and resources (Bowles, 2011). Rural electrification offered the basis for all Americans to get facilitated with electrical appliances like refrigerators, radios and stoves and rapidly electricity has turned out to be an essential element of daily routine of American life style. Electricity is regularly used in residential homes for various purposes involving lighting, air conditioning, space and water heating, cooling, washing clothes, and for running a number of power appliances and equipments (EIA, 2011). In business area Electricity is used for the establishments to facilitate and convince the American costumers during shopping with the implementation of digital advertising and electronic climate control systems (Jim, 2000).
