Introduction

In the twentieth century, Jamaica gained independence from the United Kingdom. In 1958 he became a province of the Federation of the West Indies and in May 1960, Alexander Bustamante; leader of the JLP (Labour Party Jamaicaino) declared its opposition to Jamaica continue to be part of the West Indies. The romance language, French emerged from Latin language. The classical Latin does not have any proper evidence in terms of comprehensive research. Yet it is suppose to have literature which was often hard to understand and interpret. French and Spanish have changed their forms and have improved in terms of pronunciation, punctuation and placement of verbs and adjectives. (Steele, 2008) These languages are now distinguished from Latin as complete loss of Latin case system, replacement of prepositions, losing the neuter gender, replacement of verbs by innovations, comparative inflections, different use of articles and difference in initial stages of palatalisation of plosives like /t/, /k/, and /g/. For example, the verbs in Latin language such as “esse” have taken a modified form in French language as “ester and ester” (Brown, 1999).

In order to present the phonology, we need to put in the shoes of a speaker of English, for example (or a speaker of a language other than French) who would learn French without having any notion of that language.
