Heuristics refers to the different experience-based techniques for problem solving, discovery and learning. These are used when research becomes impractical and people are not able to work in a satisfactory manner (www.apixperformance.com). With the help of this, different strategies are used for controlling issues of problem solving in machines, as well as, human beings. There are chances that errors occur in this system which make this technique ineffective. It is important that people and organizations use this technique when there is no other alternative left and while using this, it should be determined that the most competent people are selected. Such techniques should not be used frequently as there is a huge possibility and probability of error in this technique. This might cause losses for the organization and might also prove not be beneficial for the people. This might help the people in understanding as to how different techniques are used and will also prove that using these techniques are not as effective as other techniques are which are not based on experiences only (Jesse et.al, 2006).

If we talk about cognitive errors, they are described as errors and misunderstanding in clinical reasoning. This means that the people should be able to make sure that they interpret the situation in such a manner in which they can reduce the impact of such errors.
