4. RESEARCH METHODOLGY

This section gives the details of the methods and techniques which are utilized for the analysis of the research. It provides readers with the details regarding the type of methodology used, its advantages in context with the current research being conducted, the merits of the research being applied and its usefulness for the subject undertaken to study.

4.1Introduction

This section of research focused on the purpose of the Data and methodology chapter is to explain the methodology I had implemented in order to transform my research objectives and hypotheses into conclusive empirical results, and was ready for interpretation in proper section.

The empirical research aspect of my dissertation is significant in order to achieve my objective mentioned in chapter one to evaluate the determinants of growth from sample year 1980 to 2008 from Chinese economy.

Secondly targeting explanation of our model, which we had used in our dissertation, by including years from 1980 to 2008, and different variables, by processing them in EVIEWS (Econometrics Software) and applying different tests, which was mentioned later on and ending up with logical results of data.

As its been showed in chapter 3 the history of Chinese economic growth and all of the chapter was detailing the theoretical aspect of the growth, in this section the researcher have the chance to fill up the gaps between theory and empirical work to evaluate our evidence.

Finally this chapter focuses on providing details of the research methods adopted to address the research issues identified above. The first section intends to explain the Research Strategy; it was designed in a way to answer the question why this type of research is significant?

4.2Modus Operandi

Looking to definition of Research Strategy it's been explained as “Is a plan of action that gives direction to your efforts, enabling you to conduct research systematically rather than haphazardly (Lib.unca.edu).

With the help of above statement the research was designed by defining the reason behind doing this research. The overall approach which was used throughout this dissertation is a sample of the research paper by Cheng and Feng, 2000 which explains the “Determinants of economic growth in China: Private enterprise, education, and openness”.

4.3Research Plan

This type of research does not necessitate human fields. Methods of research in order to achieve intended tasks various theoretical and empirical methods are invoked in the master thesis (Bennett, 2004, p. 25). Theoretical methods of research: Historical method is applied to provide knowledge about evaluate the determinants of growth from sample year 1980 to 2008 from Chinese economy. This research is established and carried out by using a quantitative research method. The project used secondary data. The secondary data collected is analysed quantitatively by using the SPSS tool. Secondary research depicts information assembled by literature, broadcast media, publications, and other nonhuman origins.
