Introduction

I have just been appointed as CIO and Governance Director for a small company having 50 personnel maximum. The company provides consultancy services for cloud solutions for small businesses. The company has grown quickly and now managing director wants a report to on the standards and frameworks that will best underpin the business both now and in the future. An indication of the potential costs and timescales that this might entail is also required by the managing director. The purpose of this paper is to review all the standards and frameworks relevant to the business. Large organizations indicate they have obtained quality standards in specific areas of their business. However for a smaller company wanting to grow into a global player, there will be time and cost implications in trying to obtain both standards and in creating an underpinning of frameworks, to ensure the company displays and reaches a level of quality, governance and competence (www.businessautomationconsultants.com). This paper will make the reader aware regarding the significance of standards and industry practices.

When consultancy services searches for the selection of staff bear in mind three basic points:

Step 1: Search and selection of staff should not be regarded, as just finding the right person for a particular job, search, and selection should be linked to the general context of a plan to staff and to all existing programs implemented in the field of personnel management.

Step 2: Must take into account not only the level of professional competence of candidates, but not least - how new employees will fit into the cultural and social structure of the organization.

Step 3: The need for a full accounting of all the requirements of ...
