Faith

Faith is, generally, trust, belief in something or someone that a particular idea or event or past-future-is true. The word "faith" can also refer directly to religion or religion in general, however, have faith does not mean having a religion. Like the "trust", faith involves a concept of future events or results, and may or may not have a minimum of evidence (Lindbeck, p.34-67). Your faith has more than use, and its meaning is close to the meaning of " belief "and" trust "and make sure an idea, but unlike these terms, the word" faith "refers to the relationship between trans person - rather than to be internal - with God or with the power top (Mcgrath & Iustitia, p. 236-369).

The bible defines faith as “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrew 11:1, KJV) I think that every person has some form of faith. When we insert the car key and turn the engine we hope for the car, to start, after few experiment the person turning the key will accept that when he or (she) turn the key the car will start. Similarly, when we are born there is a seed of faith planted in us by nature, for example, when I was a kid, I remember my Dad put me on a high table then he knelt down, and told me to jump, which I did without any hesitation. I knew that he will catch me in other words; I had faith that my Dad will open his arms and under no circumstances will let me hit the ground on his watch.

Faith according to the Bible

Faith is a Jewish concept that derives from the Hebrew word emunah, which means three things: strength, security and fidelity. For Jewish thought, a faith that does not include security or fidelity, is the same as separating the spirit from the body, ie, is a dead faith (James 2:26).

This is the definition of faith given in the letter to the Hebrews:

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen" (Heb 11:1).

The Greek word 'élenjos' traditionally often translated 'belief', but as we have seen, faith is not only conviction, but to act consistently with what one believes. Élenjos also means "evidence" or "proof of something." This puts Yakov (James, or Santiago) the example of Abraham who believed God and it was accounted for righteousness, but only validated this belief when she took her son to the altar, as God had commanded (Heb. 11:17; James 2:21-22).

Therefore, in order for a person to become a true Christian he must have a clear concept of faith in Christianity. Only God has the option not to teach any error, and to reveal only the truth. So the only true religion established by God that the Christian religion, God, therefore, instituted by Christ, with respectful admiration, we put aside all religions established by men: Buddhism, Hinduism, Mohammedanism, and not any other religion Christian (Berkhof & Woudstra, ...
