Introduction

It is the innate trait of human being to violate the defined rules of the society, because it pleases them. The heads or well thinkers of the society on the other hand, make laws to stop the violators and punish them. In future, punishment will stop him to do anything wrong. In the same way, other members of society will learn lessons from him. The tireless work of legal persons, legislators and human right activist has helped the judicial branch of society to achieve the comprehensive system. Today, judiciary has well defined laws which reflect the every sphere of law. In order to become more specialized and give justice to the masses, courts are now divided according to the nature of crime e.g. family, consumer, terrorism courts, administrative, constitutional and military courts. Family courts are dealing those cases which are in the violation of family law. Family law is the set of laws which are dealing with marriage, divorce, guardianship, legitimacy, custody, treatment of children, physical violence, property and economic maters which arise in families. In UK, family issues are solved through High Court (Family Division), Family Proceedings Courts and Country Courts.

Question 1: Case that brought about Change

In High Court of UK, Scot young divorce case was lingering since last 7 years. This Case is considered to be the most high-profile divorce case in Britain. Finally, this case was announced by Justice Moor after 6.5 years. This case has changed the mindset of society because it was believed to be the most costly. Mrs. Michelle Scot spent £6.5 million for fighting this case. Moreover, 65 case hearings were held in order to reach the conclusion. Mrs. Michelle had hired 13 different set of lawyers to uncover the assets of Mr. Scot which are invested in different offshore tax haven countries. The court prepared 10,000 pages to write down the details related with the case. After a long battle, court awarded £20 million fortune to estranged wife, Michelle Scot apart from £5 million legal cost which she had spent while fighting the case. The society learned a lot of new things from this case. First, the time of the case that was too much long and many sections of the society believe UK judicial system is still not efficient. Second, the Mrs. Michelle Scot repeatedly claimed that Mr. Scot has fortune in between £2-3 billion. He is major shareholder in large companies and has property in UK and other countries. I am unable to find the proof of his property, because he is too much wealthy and powerful. His friends are also helping him by giving statements that he is bankrupt and financial aid was given in the wake of financial constraints.
