ABSTRACT

The research study is based on the financial level playing field regulations introduced by the UEFA for the development of sports. The regulations for the financial level playing field are of special importance as they are crucial for the development of the sports industry of football. The financial level playing field is the concept about the fairness of the rules implemented within the sports industry over which the whole game is based. Football is the sport that is played by large number of population in the whole world. It is also considered to be one of the most favourite sports among the people of all the ages. FIFA that is abbreviation for the Federation International de Football Association is an organization that set the rules for the football and is working for making improvements in it. Similarly, the organization also works for providing equal opportunities to all the players so that they can avail equal chances of taking part in the game and develop their careers in the future. It has been observed that the players in any sport do not get equal chance for making their careers in it while there are players who have strong background that make them to avail more chances in the future in the sports industry. Thus, they have more chances of making successful careers in their respective sports. The rules and regulation that have been developed by the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) are significantly contributing in minimizing this discriminatory practice. The players who came from different background do not have access to the same resources as are provided to the players coming from the strong background. The UEFA and other organizations like FIFA are striving hard to end this difference and introduce such rules that can help such players in developing their careers. On the other hand, the research study has also focused on the competitiveness of different sports club that is related with the football clubs in Spain, Germany and England particularly. The football clubs in Spain are considered to be the most competitive as they spend more than what they earn from the leagues organized within their country. However, due to the financial crisis, the benefactors and sponsors of the football clubs are not in a position to spend what they usually spends, the regulations for the financial level field playing introduced by the UEFA are particularly for such football ...
