Google Business: Products and Services

Google provides advertising and global internet search services and hosted applications. Google provides users with products and services that enable people to find, create, and organize information. In addition, Google provides advertisers with ways to deliver online ads, as well as offline ads on television, to customers across Google sites and through the Google Network, a network of online and offline third parties that use its advertising programs to deliver ads with their search results and content. Google provides the online and offline members of its Google Network with its Google AdSense programs, which include AdSense for search and AdSense for content online services (Vise & Malseed 2005). The products include Google and its services to users. In addition, the Google Toolbar, Google Chrome, Google Pack and Google Desktop, Google Earth, Google Maps, and the program fee are some of the Google shopping services on the Internet (Battelle 2005). Google Sales in 2008 were over 2.1 trillion dollars and its annual income stood at 21.8 billion dollars.

Microsoft Business: Products and Services

Microsoft Corporation is a multinational computer U.S., founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Its annual income reached 60.42 billion dollars in fiscal year 2007-2008 and employs 88,180 people in 107 countries. Its main activity is to develop operating systems and software for PC. Its head office is located in Redmond, near Seattle, and its best sellers are the operating system Windows and Office Suite Microsoft Office (Bank 2001). The company is sometimes referred to MS or MSFT or called "the Redmond company" or simply "Redmond" because of the influence of the headquarters of the region. Microsoft is engaged in developing, manufacturing, licensing, and supporting a range of software products and services. Microsoft's products include operating systems for personal computers, servers, phones, and other devices; server applications for distributed computing environments; productivity applications; business applications; desktop and server management tools; software development tools; video games; and online advertising. Microsoft conducts its businesses through five reportable segments: Windows & Windows Live Division, Server and Tools, Online Services Division, Microsoft Business Division, and Entertainment and Devices Division (Microsoft 2011).
