The paper has also highlighted some important effects that can create a positive or negative impact on the human health.

History

The first part is the one which caused a form of spotted tooth referred to as “Colorado Brown Stain”, which was later named fluorosis. The second part of the fluoridation emphasized on the relationship of the fluoride concentrations and tooth decay. In the early 19th century, the researchers and investigators founded that fluoride occurs in teeth, bones and drinking water with varying concentrations. Later, they speculated that the element fluoride can protect against the problem of tooth decay (Lepo and Synder, 2000).

In the previous years, researchers have engaged themselves and paid much attention in improving the water supply conditions with better quality. This has emerged the consumption of the water purification systems that are focused on reducing the amount of organic and inorganic components present in water. The concept of fluoridation became the official part of the United States Public Health Service Policy in the year 1951. In the year 1960, fluoride was commonly used in the United States, as well as other regions of the world. It was introduced in different parts of the world in different years.
