Change is inevitable, and IT companies are no different. They require incorporating change management practices into their organizations in order to get the issues sorted out before they even become problems and violate the service layer agreements. There are many consequences that can result from a unstructured IT change management including unexpected outages, one-off requests and loss in work hours. These can result in both loss in revenue and cause lag in delivering services to clients. There are few tools available to gauge the impact of a change effort on the organization. The paper tends to discuss the relation that gender and technology have in common. Our society is becoming highly dependent on technology; therefore it demands all the citizens to have similar level of technological literacy. To bring such a change in our society both females and males should be invited to participate in technology related activities to manage an effective level of literacy in technology. Females are still facing difficulties in making career in technological fields, as males are still found dominant in these fields. Both these genders can play an effective role in technological development; therefore they should not be discriminated on the basis of gender. Equal employment opportunity should be offered to both genders, so that they would flourish in this field. Females have contributed a lot in the field of technology through playing various roles such as midwives or nurses. The barriers and hurdles can be avoided with the help of equal opportunities to both the genders. The world is facing social and technological change at a pace that was never experienced ever before in human history.
