Introduction

The Coe's will, for sure, have difficulties launching their business in Mexico. The cultural and structural differences can be hurdles in the way of company's further growth in the area. A business, which eyes an expansion in a certain area, it must have plans for long-term growth in the area. However, with culturally sensitive business attitude, the company can do well. The leading cities in this area are Colima, Colima, Merida, Yucatan, and Celaya, Guanajuato. In all three, starting a business requires to fulfil six steps to seven days to perform them. Not bad if you take into account the OECD average is 5 procedures and 12 days. In this area, the three cities have a much better performance than the rest of Latin America and the Caribbean, where, according to the Doing Business report, the World Bank, nine procedures required to start a business and 53 days (Stevens et al, 2012).

It's the kind of thing to be presumed, in the hope that other Mexican municipalities apply equally, and left behind unfortunate cases, such as Acapulco, Guerrero, where new investors should perform seven steps that lead them 24 days, or Matamoros, Tamaulipas, where starting a business requires eight wickets to go first and wait 25 days, or Cancun, Quintana Roo, where the local authority demand to seven steps and requires a wait of 49 days. Keeping this strategic outlook in mind, I would recommend them to start their business in Mexico. Following is an explanation of the main themes and concepts I have learnt in this course.

Cultural Differences and Doing Business

Businessmen should be tuned to where cultural differences manifest themselves and what are its effects on the negotiation process. When trading works, both sides win (Neeley Dellong, 2009). This is the goal. For this to work in international trade today, the successful negotiator is one that takes into account cultural factors. Career diplomats have long recognized these facts. Harold Nicholson, a great English statesman, wrote in his book, "Diplomacy" in 1939 that "there are certain trading patterns that can be considered permanent and universal. Alongside these, however, there are notable differences caused by national character, tradition and rituals. "

Everyone nods soberly when this statement is quoted, showing an understanding of this critical piece of wisdom. Virtually all working cross-culturally accept the correctness of this alternative proposal and balanced - there are similarities and there are differences. Fundamentally, we are all human beings, whatever our cultural context and how humans have certain common standards, applicable regardless of the tone that can take the negotiations. On the other hand, of course, there are significant cultural differences that bring us to the negotiating table, and that affect our attitudes and our procedures. Naturally both sides of this elemental truth must be considered.
