Introduction

Google Inc. is an American Multinational Company, was first introduced in 1996 by two PhD students Larry Page and Sergery Brin in the result of their research project, in Stanford University, California. Google is considered as specialist in products and services regarding internet. Majorly it includes Searching, Online advertising, Workshop and Conference, Student Support, Google+, Google Maps, Google TV, Skydrive, Cloud Platform, Google Apps, Games, YouTube, Commerce and Chrome etc.

In 2011, Company announced that it own and operates six data centers around the world as in U.S.A., Finland and in Belgium. In addition, they also announced to have further three centers of the estimated cost of 200$ million specifically in Singapore, Taiwan and in Hong Kong. Also, they were motivated to make them in operation in next two years (Kim, 2011).

Google Maps

Technology introduced by Google services name as Google Maps has created a revolution in the world. It has made life easy and has played a golden role in saving time what before was wasted in just searching routes, finding destinies and etc. It helps in planning route, finding the ride near your locations by even directions, knowing near by places like hotels, restaurants and hospitals etc. By its advance option, it can also calculate time for travelling, by which you can either plan to go by foot, car, bus or train. Google also provides images of routes which are updated monthly or yearly but they are not updated continuously. Google's this app uses JavaScript.

Google has mapping services in high resolution for mostly urban areas around the globe. In some cases, it doesn't provide exact timing because of its old images captured by the Satellite. Most of the populated areas have a clear image while on the other end less populated areas do not have that much clear image and data. Its popularity can also be determined by its use in android mobiles as Google also has introduced its application on android systems.

Impacts

As Google map is one of the modern technology, so ultimately it has many impacts on society in both positive and negative manner. Where it was appreciated by the people because of its benefits similarly, many governments showed the danger of criminal activity by the use of it. United States of America complained about its terrorist activity potential at the major scale. Due to which Google blurred many official and red zones of America including White House and U.S Naval Observatory area. It is also unable to show areas of poles due to Mercator projection. Most of the images on this app are a couple of years ago, not recent.
