Acupuncture plays an important role in treating pain syndromes and degenerative diseases (such as osteochondrosis, discherniation, protrusion of intervertebral disc, etc.). In other countries it is funded by a large number of studies on the effectiveness of acupuncture in treating nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy, chemotherapy and after surgery.
