Abstract

It is no secret that mortality is one of the ultimate concerns for humans. Humans exist on this planet earth with realisation that all life and experiences will come to an end through death. In many cultures, discussion about death/mortality or the name death is perceived as taboo, (Kubler-Ross1997). It has been estimated that more than 150,000 people die every day globally (Aubrey, 2007), through various causes such as accidents and natural causes. Confronting these human conditions will enable us to reflect sincerely on our lives and set our priorities right. According to Victor, (2012), Christianity is an Abrahamic religion monotheistic based on the life and teachings attributed to Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the biblical canon and other writings of the New Testament. Visions of the Christian life after death usually involve the Sky (also called Paradise) and Hell. (Quran 4:78). Conducting a study using survey, we fail to reject hypothesis and acknowledge that strong religious believes help reduce anxiety related to death. The aim of this study is to find out if people who are committed to any form of religion faith would readily embrace death as part of human existence. The purpose of this research is to develop the theoretical understanding Human mortality: A Dominant source of anxiety and behaviour amongst the population of Newham. In this section of the report, the research methodology is outlined specifying the research ...
