Introduction

Music is called as a language that expresses the number of emotions and gestures. Musicians communicate with others through songs, and it is assumed that this communication medium is more effective than others. Every melody tells a different story with a different mood which can be easily understood by a person of that caliber. Music can also help in changing the pre-existing mood of a person. Each person geographically, historically, socially and psychologically has its musical background which is strongly linked to its character and / or personality. Music is conspicuously a part of our lives at all grades, if individual, communal, or even national. The American public is evidently made cognizant of music through TV, wireless, recordings, reside, live performances, and backdrop music. It is commonly utilized to convey persons simultaneously and assist to articulate heritage persona, human compassion, and individual goals and aspirations. It communicates feeling and strong feeling, and the mind-set held by its creative individual as well as all of its listeners. Since decades music has been considered as a part of our lives and numbers of theorists say that music does influence us.

The music world also will be influenced by the social and cultural change. Music, whose traditional resources had been exploited endlessly by the Romantic writers, seeks to open new paths and break with the past. Lots of musical avant-garde styles juxtaposing go over the century in search of novelty and experimentation, through a cosmetic change that will result in the most varied compositions. The emergence of new genres such as jazz or rock and its derivatives to classical music snatch the spotlight, almost exclusive, it had enjoyed for centuries. Gradually evolve into minority music, oblivious to the success and business interests. In the second half of the century, the advents of technology alter the way of composing and performing music. For the first time in history, computer and electronic media have an important role in the musical phenomenon (Forney, 2007).

History of Music

The History of Music is the study of different traditions in music and their management over time. Since every culture known to have had some form of musical expression, history of music covers all societies and eras, and is not limited, as has been customary, to the West, where we have used the expression in music history to refer to the history of European music and its evolution in the Western world. The music of a culture is closely related to other aspects of culture, such as organizing economic , technical development, the attitude of the composers and their relationship with listeners, ideas aesthetic more widespread in each community, the vision about the function of art in society , as well as biographical variants of each author. In its broadest sense, music is born with man, and was already present, according to some scholars, long before the spread of humans across the planet, more than 50,000 years. It is therefore a cultural event universal.
