Hurricane Irene

Introduction

Hurricane Irene termed the fifth costliest hurricanes in the United States of America. Hurricane Irene is termed as the hurricane which turns out to be the most destructive cyclone, which also enclosed the nearby regions into its prey. The affected areas include Caribbean and East Coast of the United States.

Throughout the path of Hurricane Irene, it caused a lot of problem and destruction which has been observed and noted of the wide scale, involving 56 deaths on records. The damage that was caused by hurricane Irene estimated around $15.6 billion. In adding together, the economic fatalities in the Caribbean were anticipated to be as high as US$3.1 billion, in addition to an extra $260 million in Canada for a total guesstimate of not quite $19 billion in damage. Despite this massive destruction, a small minority of people remained entrenched in their homes. While the masses had fled, this tiny group of people bunkered down in what remained of their homes. Before this disaster this small group has been part of a typical American suburban neighborhood, they now had lived as holdouts in a nearly uncultivated state with portable toilets, bottled water, electrical generators, and none of the typical infrastructure of a developed country. In such situation there is always remain a chaos. In order to deal with this emergency situation perfect and quick management is often needed. The aim and objective of this paper is also to talk about various perspectives of emergency management in Hurricane Irene. Altogether the purpose of the case is to identify the main precaution that could be set in order to minimize the effect of the destruction and eliminate the cost and the death fatalities. The strategies could be implemented in order to have the best possible solutions for the next upcoming uncertainties (Lixion , 2011).

Hurricane Irene

The Hurricane lied into a tropical wave that exceeded the cost of African region and entered into the Atlantic region. There are several layers which make the ocean, the uppermost layer is of the highest temperature and is called as a mixed layer, because it consist of having mixed and it keeps regular contraction with the atmosphere. Last layer is called as them cline layer, which gets cooler as the depth increases. During the time of summer, the mixed layer becomes shallow, often it gets 10-20 meter deep due to atmospheric temperatures and it gets stronger when the mixed layer expands to more than 100 meters (Massel, 1993). For calculating the fraction of heat from the mixed later that is deposited into the thermo cline permanently into the tropics, researchers relied on different theoretical models. Analyst refers to the part of the warm which is major sits in the seasonal thermo lien until the winter season, when the mixed layer is reabsorbed by deep mixed layer; at that particular point, it interacts with different atmosphere and extra hear is being released.
