Knowledge Management Systems

[Institution's Name]

Executive Summary

A firm's key success factors sorrounds retrieval, creation and storage with is the work of Knowledge Management Systems. However the introduction about these systems are often misunderstood in organizations regarding their efficiency and efficacy and even if adopted many times paralleled by illison and disillusionment related to its real use. We will use an approach that will consist of Case Studies that will involve the use of KM systems in those organizations and define its extent of success and failure in those organizations. By building up links and finding the loop holes we will be able to recognize the fluctuations and then relate it to general framework. We will also find how different organizations are successful in implementing knowledge management systems and examine by profiling some latest thriving Knowledge management uses and applications.

The study also identifies the evidence of proper use of KM systems in the organization and defines the theoretical framework approaches along with relevant KM system models that could be implied and executed in any existing structure of organization, depending on its nature. Following my study I will then present some critiques and problems that knowledge management system offers and some challenges that organizations have faced in implementing it. I will suggest recommendations for how knowledge management systems can be modified to address these shortcomings.

I conclude my analysis by signifying that reasonableness and competition are critical ingredients of the method to make KM systems work.
