Q NO 3: Compare and contrast IT leadership strategies. Recommend an IT leadership strategy that would be the most effective in a business environment characterized by globalization, fierce competition, and an increasingly diverse workforce.

The purpose of this paper is to compare and contrast different information technology leadership strategies. Along, with that the paper provides an effective leadership strategy which could be adopted in a business environment which is characterized by fierce competition, globalization, and an immensely increasing assorted work force. In this paper we will begin by discussing the definition of leadership by different philosophers with respect to information technology (Souba WW, 2009).

In the next step, we will briefly discuss Bloom's taxonomy, by critically analyzing the domains, and categories of Bloom's taxonomy, which plays am essential role in developing the learning ability of a student, especially at the PhD level (Hurst, P., Palya, W., & Mills, W. C. Jr, 2005).

In the third part, we will be comparing and contrasting some of different information technology leadership strategies, along with the effects and risk involved in those strategies. In the last part of the paper we will discuss, the most effective in a business environment characterized by globalization, fierce competition, and an increasingly diverse workforce (Bennis, W. G, 2006).

Research Paradigm

Leadership in information technology is referred to as the ability to influence a group of people with the aim direct its efforts toward meeting goals. Organizations Today's their main resource people, is why the leadership plays a central role in the behavior of groups. There are several approaches to the study of leadership from simple models to complex and sophisticated as the route and participation of the leader. Given leadership styles between men and women, is somewhat similar but women are more oriented to shared leadership. On the other hand effective leaders perform four roles: they act as a means communication with the outside of the organization, solve problems, manage conflict and instruct the team members. The Optional leadership proved to be a leadership style for all occasions. The leader, as the guidance of a group of people must have clear goals with a moral content of these and of the means used to reach them (Bass, B. M, 1985).

The philosopher Hugo Landolfi defines leadership as: "Leadership is the exercise manifestation of updates and improvements of a human being, called leader, who by his action is placed at the service of achievement, through a mission, one or more objectives proposed by a vision. This vision must be aligned and necessarily subordinate to the ultimate good of man. The objectives set by the vision should include and consider those that are single-objectives of each of the people who comprise the leadership team, together with those who are organizational " (Brown W., Birnstihl, E., & Wheeler, 1996).
