Abstract

The study aims at investigating the reasons for the causes of insomnia. Moreover the types of insomnia are further discussed. There are several causes of insomnia that occurred in the life of a person the treatment of insomnia includes the intervention technique and medication for the cure and prevention of the treatment of insomnia. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most effective techniques for the treatment of psychological disorders. Overall the effects and intervention of insomnia is further discussed in detail in this paper.

Insomnia

Introduction

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder caused by psychological distress. It is caused by worrying about the future and recalling the past events. The insomnia occurs due to staying sleep, waking up too early and sleep disturbance three times a week. Due to Insomnia the symptoms of depression and mood alertness persists among patents (Psychology Today, 2013). It is cause by falling asleep and staying asleep. It is caused by functional impairment and the sleep disturbances as the difference in quality and quantity of sleep (Insomnia, 2013).

Types of Insomnia

There are certain types of insomnia as in the types of insomnia the sleep disturbance frequency varies such as in Transient insomnia as its lasts from days to week. It can be caused by other disorder such as depression or stress. Another type of Insomnia is termed as Acute Insomnia it is the disturbance in consistent sleeping; it lasts from months. There is Chronic Insomnia it lasts from years as the chronic insomnia shows increased alertness. These were the three types of Insomnia (Insomnia, 2013).
