The current era of information technology requires us to transmit, receive, and process bulks of information messages on a daily basis. However, effective communication deals way beyond the mere exchange of information. It rather deals with understanding the emotion with which the information is conveyed. Effective communication may enhance relations at work, at home, and in social situations by underpinning one's associations with others while enhancing problem solving, decision making, and teamwork. It facilitates a person in communicating even difficult or negative messages without destroying trust or creating conflict. Effective communication merges a set of skills counting in attentive listening skill, nonverbal communication skill, the capability of managing stress in a situation, and the potential to understand and recognize one's own feelings as well as the ones of the person they are communicating with. While effective communication is a learned capability, it is more effectual when it is spontaneous instead of being formulaic. For instance, a speech which is read barely leaves an equivalent impact as a speech which is spontaneously delivered. Effort and time are indeed required for developing these skills and becoming an effective communicator.

This task implies that I have some really good and effective communication skills for the order of ascertaining that the users understand what I convey and apply the best practice to the ERP applications. Also, I assist the departmental managers with the productions of the PowerPoint presentations as well as the management reports. Applying effective communication to carry out this job role makes sure that even the challenging task of making technical reports and presentations is done with ease, avoiding any undesirable situation. I have also been contributing actively in meetings and discussions as part of my job role. Making use of hand gestures and appropriate body language, I made sure that I conveyed my idea in an effective manner, so that it is well understood and approved by the audience (Kristina & Yesenia, 2005, pp. 77).
