Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is basically defined as a model which enables easy access to a network with a collective pool of configurable servers, networks, services, applications and storage. These can be accessed with a minimum of effort by service providers or the management (Mell and Grance, 2009, pp. 1). According to recent researches and studies, large number of small to medium sized organizations are employing the technology of cloud computing within their business operations, in order to process, backup and store their data, in a more convenient and effective way. In addition to this, this technology may also help these organizations in communicating with the entire workforce, as well as with their stakeholders (Hurwitz, et.al., 2009, pp. 21-22).

Dropbox, a fine example

A perfect example of cloud computing services is the synchronization of files, like Dropbox , which is one of the most efficient services accordingly. With it, all you need to do is book a hard disk space, which will be used to sync the clouds. When you copy or move a file in this space, it will be duplicated in the application server and also on other computers that have installed and where you access your account program.

The Importance

Applications and services, networks and data centers: to win the biggest business challenges and current technology, an approach that fully integrates the three pillars of cloud computing is necessary. This approach should monitor the market trends that require greater flexibility, agility and speed to support progress in weeks or months instead of years.

Personal cloud applications, has quietly joined the enterprise among the front, but if there is no good systematic induction would be difficult and cloud management aside. Personal Application seemingly little commercial value, but the ideas behind these cloud applications have long been pushing very determined to meet the challenges of business managers of the new situation (Goundar, 2012, pp. 217-222).

The main characteristics of cloud computing is agility, scalability, anywhere access and different devices (mobile phones, laptops and PDAs), allows the sharing of resources by a large group of users, easy to use services not being required installation. However, the safety issue worries a bit. As technologies have emerged as this to facilitate access to information, specialists in parallel invade computers and programs, "hackers" can invade our data and steal them. However, these providers of cloud computing companies invest heavily in security, the so-called "cloud antivirus".

The trend is that future computers will have lower prices compared with current prices, as that will be produced in a simplified form, since most of your data is stored outside the hardware. Especially the mini laptops because they can be easily loaded, have low energy and are much cheaper.

Cloud Computing and Local Computing

Cloud computing is referred as the kind of computing that believes on the sharing of resources of computer rather than by having personal devices or local services, in order to handle applications. According to recent researches and studies, the technique of ...
