Introduction

The definition of culture is the practices, beliefs as well as the thoughts and behaviors of the individuals in the areas of religion, political organization, social organization, history, and economic organization as well as the collective production. In addition to that, they tend to provide a definition of the social roles within a society. However, most of the theorists believe that culture largely aids in defining an individual's individuality as well as identity. In multicultural counseling, the counselor tends to attend to its own view of the world as well as the world view of its client, with an association to the ethnic identity of the client.

The Latin culture consists of the people who belong to the Latin America. They may include both the popular culture as well as the high culture. The popular culture includes dance, music and folk art and high culture include their high art as well as their literature. The dominant language of the Latinos is known to be Spanish; however the people also speak Portuguese, Brazilian and the French. The chief religion of the Latinos is Christianity, mostly comprising of the Roman Catholics. Very few numbers of the Pedestrians have been observed to exist within the Latinos.

Different Hispanic groups

There are various Hispanic groups residing within the United States. It is important to note that many people tend to think of all the Latinos as wither Spanish or Mexicans, but they belong to different parts of the world and have significant differences in traditions and characteristics. The Mexican Americans are known to contribute to around nine percent population of the United States. Amongst them are seventy five percent Roman Catholics. They are also provided with limited voting in the Unites States and some facilities because of the efforts of the Society of Lazaro Cardenas which formed in Los Angeles and concentrated on improving the facilities of municipal provided to the Mexican Americans.

Another important group amongst the Latinos is the Puerto Rican group. These contribute to around 8.6 percent population of the United States.
