Learning Theories Reflected the Educational Standards and Improves Student Learning

Abstract

The research proposes the significance of learning theories capturing the performance of the students in the classroom settings. Learning theories reflected the educational standards and improves the performance of the individual. The supportive learning environment improves the performance of the individual and caters the learning theorists approach in education. The support and cooperation of teacher enhances the learning of an individual. There is a conceptual process in the learning theories is highlighted in the research. The doctrine of teachers and learners approach is acquired through this research. The learner outcome with respect to the acquisition of different strategies is acquired in further discussion.

Learning Theories Reflected the Educational Standards and Improves Student Learning

Introduction

The emerging learning theories serve the purpose to reexamine the prior experience in the teaching and learning framework. The learning theories have diverted from the former approach of teacher directed activates to learner centered behavior (Powell et.al, 2009). The communicating tool helps the students in learning and teaching approach that is acquire through the classroom learning settings. There are two major constructivism theories that are given in the classroom states by Powell in 2009,

“The Cognitive or individual constructivism depending on Piaget's theory and Social constructivism depending on Vygotsky's theory”

There are certain strategies that are helpful in improving the learning and teaching strategies that are opted from the environment and due to the capability of the students the techniques are helpful in enhancing the learning of the students (Powell et.al, 2009). Vygotsky given the in the developmental stages learning is affected by the environment, social interaction and cultural influence. These concepts were useful in improving the learning and ability of the student in educating students in classroom settings.

Former and Emerging Learning Theories

Learning theories have a great impact upon improving the education standards in the classroom. There are external influences that have a major impact upon the learning and developmental life stages. Personal experience and environment had a major impact upon improving learning of the student. The external environment and personal experience enhance the learning capability of a student because of interaction with peers communication improves the performance and confidence of the students in classroom activities.

Former Learning Theories

The learning theories focus on the environment and reinforcement leads towards motivating the students. The trial and error learning enhance the performance of individuals. The learning is changeable as students imitate teachers in the classroom activates (Cook, 2010). The theorists Cook states in the year 2010,

“In Experiment 1, residual automatic imitation was measured following incompatible training in which the action stimulus was a perfect predictor of the response (contingent) or not at all predictive of the response (non-contingent).”

The contingent and non-contingent response in the trial and error theories that are initiated by theories of learning focus on the unconditioned stimulus and unconditioned response that ...
