Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian sculptor, designer, architect, theorist, painter, scientist and engineer. He was the originator of what is described as the High Renaissance approach and used a huge authority on that-day and future artists. His works assisted to set up the principles of symbol and looks that were to govern schools of Europe for 500 years subsequently . While Michelangelo was an also an Italian draughtsman, sculptor, architect, and painter . The complex exequies after Michelangelo's demise held in Florence observed him as the best practitioner of the three visual arts of painting architecture and sculpture, and as a valued poet.

Thesis Statement

The works of both Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci have one thing in common and it is their desire for perfection.

Lady with the Ermine, painted around 1490, shows Leonardo's skillful use of light and shadow to make figures appear more lifelike.
