Mac Vs PC

Introduction

Apple had launched an anti-PC campaign. The campaign spots are easily recognizable thanks to a format they all meet. Mac had launched commercial against Microsoft (York, 2008, p.14).

The famous Apple campaign personifies the PC as a boring guy with glasses, chubby and looks like it was the student of the school. In this ad a younger man, modern and fun claiming to be a Mac and just leaving a fool of the PC in all advertisements (Edwards, 2007, p.14).

Microsoft defended the commercials so confused that they simply wanted to make only once curious. Again, a couple of days have been thrown down the first attempt to image-polishing. In the second step, Microsoft tried it with the "I'm a PC" campaign - a nod to Apple's "I'm a Mac" commercials, in which Windows users have been ridiculed (Tina, 2009, p.11).

According to unscientific survey by Hunch Stereotype may be true that those Mac users tend to be younger, more liberal, more fashion-conscious and more likely to live in cities than people who prefer PCs.

The formula still explode, goes further: two characters, one ugly and one slim and stylish represent a PC and a MAC, respectively. Every little sketch makes fun of some aspect of the PC and stresses some virtue of Apple computers.

In recent ads, laugh at the security risks of the PC, connection problems with peripheral devices, the numerous warnings from Vista.
