Project Title: Effects of Training and Development on Employees' Motivation of ABC Organization

Rationale

Training helps employees to perform in most efficient way in their jobs. It also offers them long-term professional advantages. On the other hand, development also help employees handling their future responsibilities with the little concerns which get him ready for the long run obligation that might be running today. Recently, the debates have been conducted to evaluate the link between employee's motivation and training and development. These debates have suggested that the available evidences do not represent an unambiguous and a clear connection between the two.

Owing to this fact, absence of such evidence may also deter employers from training and development. Certain researches show that training and development do motivate their employees while most of the employees do not try measuring the impact. However, one may agree upon the fact that training and development enable employees extending their knowledge for the changes that are required to be implemented in future.

This study also aims to investigate the connection between employees' motivation and training and development.

Training and Development

Professional training and development of employees is incorporated into efficient management practices along with the risk management strategies. Wit can be argued that with the increasing requirement of providing employee with T&D, organizations usually have fewer resources such as time and money to equip their work force with conventional form of learning, i.e. training courses (Sugrue & Kim,2005, pp. n.d.). In order to fill this gap between the need of training and access to training, several low-cost methods to develop employees professionally have been introduced. With the help of these training and development method, organizations are able to enhance employees' performance and the holistic performance of the organization.

Training and development programs also support retention in an organization. According to Raymond Neo (2009, p. 25) different researches on the factors which affect employee retention in an organization propose that cooperative so-workers, stimulating tasks along with the professional and career development opportunities are among the most favorable reasons behind employees retention in an organization. Training and development programs help work force of an organization to gain the mission of the organizations (Aguinis & Kraiger, 2009, pp. 451-474 ).
