Introduction

The main reason behind the establishment of a bicameral Congress was that every chamber must serve as a check on the other. The bigger and more regularly nominated House of Representatives would reflect the changing in public opinion more directly, while the shorter Senate, whose associates provide their services for more longer terms, would work as a more level-headed and deliberative body.
