Introduction

Mentoring is a form of volunteer help to foster the development, based on interpersonal support and exchange in which a person invests his wisdom of experience gained, and expertise to promote the development of another person who needs to acquire skills and career goals. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the working relationship between the mentor and mentoree in health and social care settings. I will explore how these relationships formed, cultivated and maintained, reflect on the challenges that faced during the course of facilitating the learning process, and critically analyze the mentor's role in delivering the learning. I will also discuss what feedback processes and strategies will enhance and develop the learning process, the role of the mentors in general, and the overall accountability in facilitating the learning process.

Key Considerations for an Effective Learning Environment

An effective learning environment is crucial to the successful execution of learning processes. There are several key considerations that govern the learning practices and influence the learners'' experience within educational institutions (Honey, Mumford, 1992, 230). The learning environments have to be well-resourced in order to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and knowledge sharing. Learning environments need to be regularly monitored in order to maintain their quality and standard. Without the maintenance of a reasonable standard, learning environments will not serve the purpose in an efficient manner. The impact of each resource in these environments is far-reaching and long-lasting. They not only cause a change in the behaviour of learners (mentoree) but also impact upon the way the learning imparted by the instructors (mentors) (Calman, 2002, 516).

There are some issues that pose threats to the usefulness of learning environments and cause an upheaval in their activities and processes. There is also a gap that observed in the relationship between the mentor and mentoree. This relation has to be one of understanding and cooperation (Honey, Mumford, 1992, 230).

Developing Successful Learning Patterns

It is important to develop healthy working relationships with people. This not only guarantees personal success but is also a must for the success of the company. Such relations create a significant influence on the working environment and are responsible for the success of learning practices. In case of health and social care settings, it is imperative that the relationships are sustainable for health care and social care sectors depend upon the relationship that established with each other.

Working relationships aid in avoiding conflicts in the workplace. It is a source of reinforcing the code of ethics in the dealings of people. When people greet each other and share different ideas, the environment of the workplace becomes healthy and enduring. Without such an environment, work seems to be a burden. Also, the working relationships allow the exchange of valuable ideas and thoughts among individuals (Stuart, 2005, 239).
