ABSTRACT

This research study is an attempt to study the investments which have been made in the mining sector of Mongolia. Mining in Mongolia is an important topic and is discussed widely. The mining sector of Mongolia has a great contribution to the nations' economy. The economy of Mongolia is experiencing a boom in its mining sector that is set not just greatly altering the economy of the country, but for shaping the future of it. Mongolia is a still facing greater risks, greater rewards for destination, even though the boom in mining has helped in transforming the outlook of the investments in the country and it has not achieved yet as the climate of investment is robust in a legal manner, stable politically and safe for the investments. This research has used both a quantitative method and secondary research analysis in order to meet the aim of this study. A questionnaire was formulated and distributed to the investors and the managers of the mining companies in Mongolia for gaining responses of the people regarding the mining investments in Mongolia and the way they affect the economy of the country. The results of this research have shown that the investors are of the opinion that the mining sector of Mongolia is booming and the investments made by the other countries especially China has increased over the period of time. This has improved and increased the growth in the economy and it has also improved standard of living for the people. More countries are making investments in the mining sector of Mongolia. The results of the regression analysis have shown that the greater would be the foreign investments the greater would be the gross domestic of the Mongolian economy.
