CHAPTER 4: ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION

Introduction

In the analysis and discussion chapter the findings from the questionnaire and interview responses were analyzed and discussed in detail. The purpose of this section is to justify, prove and discuss those research questions which mentioned in chapter 1. For analyzing and interpretation of the interview and survey findings, excel was used for compiling those responses in a tabular form. This section is divided into three parts: in the first part the descriptive analysis of the questionnaire responses were discussed in detail. In the second part the findings of interview responses were shown and in the last part the discussion of all the findings were discussed.

Descriptive analysis of Questionnaire

In this research study the questionnaire was used as a research instrument. The questionnaire used in this study was having close ended questions

The majority of participants were males (52%), but the difference between males and females wasn't that big.

Participants who were selected for this research study belonged to both genders. There were 52% of the participants who were males and the rest of the 48% of the participants were females. The percentages show research study the male and female participants were almost equally selected so it depicts that there is no gender discrimination in selecting participants.

The above table shows that there were 3% of the bar staff members were up to 23 year old, 23% were 24-29 year old, 18% were 30-35, 12% were between 36 and 40, and the rest (14%) were older than 40 years of age. The percentages depict that the participants who were selected for this study were belonged to 24 to 29 years of age.

There were 46% of workers were still in higher education now and 10% of them had just elementary school education. The percentages depicted that the participants who were selected for this survey are mostly higher education educational background.

What's your position in workplace?

There were 40% of the participants who were bartenders/barmaids; there were 30% of the respondents who were waiters/waitresses in the bar. There were 26% of the respondents who were managers by profession. There were 4% of the respondents who were bar backs by profession.

Have you finished any studies relevant to your position in work?

The question was asked from the bar staff members that whether they have finished any studies pertinent to their position in work or not. There were 62% of the bar staff members who said that they don't have any relevant education to their position in work.
