Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to analyse the spice use among teenagers in United States. Spices are the combinations of different herbal mixtures providing the same results as the marijuana. There are different names under which these spices are sold including Moon Rocks, Yucatan Fire, K2 and Fake weed. Since a long time, the purchase of spice mixtures has become very easy and it is also purchased through internet facilities. The rate of young people specially the teenagers using spices is increasing with the passage of time which is a dangerous signal because of the dangers included in spice consumption. The paper discusses the issue of spice use among teenagers in California and the reasons that why it is considered as an issue.

Target Group

The target group which has been identified in this paper to be solved is the teenager group in California.

Why this Group is Experiencing the Health Issue

The rate of spice consumption is increasing in high-school seniors in California. There are different reasons categorised as the reasons behind high prevalence rate of the spice consumption among high-school seniors in California. The main reason behind the increase in spice consumption rate is the increase in sales of these spices. These spices are openly available in market without any supervision. Easy access and the misperception of people that spice products are natural are the main cause behind increased popularity of the spices. These spices are very dangerous for human health and are badly affecting the health of high-school students in California (Egan 2007). The different risks faced by the high-school students in California are elevated moods and altered perception. There are some students facing the other causes including paranoia, hallucinations and anxiety. Spices had adverse effects on the brain of these high-school students (Alena 2011). There were also different health problems faced by high-school students which were severe problems including confusion, increased heart rate, agitation and vomiting. It has also raised the blood pressure of different students. Thus, these spices which are claimed to be natural had negative impacts on high-school students of California and affected them in a very bad manner.

It is commonly believed that proper healthcare facilities are not provided to these high-school students.
