Abstract

Nuclear weapons are considered as the tools for mass destruction; on the other hand these are also used for the power generation and maintain peace all over the world. This research papers aims to explore the nuclear weapons, along with its different types, energy of nuclear weapons explosion, effects of nuclear weapons detonations, and the effects and causes of destructions from nuclear weapons more particularly the case of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Introduction

Nuclear weapons are always considered as a means of mass destruction. Nuclear weapons are explosive device, which derives its caustic energy from nuclear sooner than chemical reactions. The researches have shown that a nuclear reaction can releases around a million or more than that energy than a chemical reaction does (Newton, 2011). This distinction makes a nuclear weapon more dominant as compare to a conventional weapon. It is a fact that nuclear weapons are greatly more powerful as compared to the conventional ones. These weapons can cause destruction and death on a larger scale. They are certainly weapons for the mass destruction. However, there is one more side of this as these weapons can also be utilized to generate clean energy (Merriman and Winter, 2006). Furthermore, nuclear weapons might even promote relax and peace tensions among the countries. Considering the case of subcontinent, peace controls the political background of the region; not regardless of the presence of these nuclear weapons although because of this. Nuclear weapons are helpful for countries for producing energy, however alternatively it may also cause confrontational environment (Clark, 2005).
