The components of an optimal learning environment, includes growth mindset, good teacher/student relationship, and learning strategies.

Introduction

In this study, components of optimal learning environment will be discussed by analyzing their importance in the optimal learning environment. The components selected for optimal learning environment are; growth mind set, teacher and student's relationship and learning strategies. All of the mentioned components will be viewed from the perspective of the authors who have written articles on the components of optimal learning environment. In the further parts each of the components is described and discussed in detail in order to know their implementation and benefits.

Discussion

Growth Mindset

Growth mindset is one of the important components of optimal learning environment and the reason behind is that if students and teacher both have growth mindset than they understand that intelligence can be developed. It has been observed that students focus on improving rather than becoming smarter. They must work hard to get smarter. According to the research conducted by Dweck and Lisa it is found that those students who learn this mind set are motivated in school and achieve good grades. Now growth mindset will be understand from different perspectives. From administrator point of view they support teachers in learning and give them feedback which is honest rather than defensive. They are always willing to learn from their teachers to build skills (Dweck, 2006).

Teachers collaborate with their colleagues and leaders in order to strengthen their skills instead of blaming others. Teachers believe that students can learn and achieve success. Parents support their children in learning and getting knowledge not only from classroom but also from other places and activities.
