Introduction

It has been proposed that accessible Timetabling user access points are to be installed in the University. It is a comprehensive educational Timetabling system which is designed to supports in developing exam and course timetables, developing and managing the changes in the time table, room sharing for various events, and Timetabling students for different classes. It seems like a distributed system which helps the schedule managers of university and its departments to make their efforts in order to make and alter a schedule keeping in mind the diverse organizational requirements. This will help in reducing student course conflicts. It can easily be used to effectively to build and manage a university's schedule of exams, courses and classes or interfaced with a current student information system.

Discussion - Pact Analysis

People

The people for whom this system is designed are the students of the university. Every student possesses dissimilar characteristics that produce its major effect on the usage of the system. There are over 1500 foreign undergraduate students in the university that makes the 10% of the university's total population. Even though these students are recommended to take the International English Language Test (IELTS), as they may have difficulty in understanding specific English terminology as the minimum band requirement at University. Therefore it is required that the system must use easy and simple verb terms as much as possible. It must ensure the limitations of the cultural differences in terms of communication (Joseph and Beth ,2008.pp. 32-46).

Disabled Students

There are 9 % of all university students who have some sort of disability. Among those disabled, 4% suffer from visual impairment i.e. being either partially sighted or blind. In this case, Braille displays will be helpful with easy and simple user interfaces, yet they are observed to be failed with more intricate systems. These students can further be assisted with a combination of zoom and the sound option to zoom into some particular areas of an application. Among them 3% of students are either having a hearing impairment or are deaf. Sound is used in the system to highlight the important alerts and its urgency making the systems very easy to use nowadays. To solve this system Mac OS X, the operating system has an opportunity to flash the screen to highlight something important (Apple Inc. 2008). Dyslexia affects the students most with 43% of students suffering from the disability. With this high percentage of possible affected users, the system will focus to assist them by suggesting a reliable navigation arrangement and color coding information and understandable signposting.

Activities

University will implement this software in order to facilitate the students for more than scheduled classes. Club meetings, Guest speakers, study sessions, and various other activities are required to be scheduled to a number of campus areas. Events for examinations and all class meetings are automatically generated by this software calendar for the academic session in the events. It can also add any other campus facility in the ...
